Day 1:
Overnight flight to Johannesburg.

Days 2-3:
Onward flight to Durban and collect hire car. Drive north and stay for two nights at the Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse, tucked away in
the most beautiful Kamberg valley in the Drakensberg Mountains near Giants Castle. There are just six luxurious rooms, all with TV, separate bath & shower, cotton sheets, mohair blankets and heated under blankets! The renowned owner-chef Richard Poynton runs a superb dining room where the freshest ingredients are grown on-site to create fine country cooking. (HB)

Days 4-6:
Drive onward to stay for three nights on safari in the Amazulu Game Reserve at the majestic AmaKhosi Lodge. Zulu for "The Place of the Kings" AmaKhosi offers absolute luxury alongside the Mkuze River. Boasting 10 000 hectares, the Reserve is made up of a varied ecosystem

Days 7-9:
Drive onward to stay for three nights at Makakatana Bay Lodge. This stunning property is the only privately owned lodge set with the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park, the heart of Africa's largest natural estuary. It accommodates just 12 guests in luxurious en-suite and air-conditioned rooms which boast outdoor showers and offer stunning views onto the lake. Activities include game drives, boat & beach safaris,

Drive south to the Zimbali Lodge & Country Club for the final three nights.
